WRITING
As well as his extensive experience in military history, Geoff has also written many travel articles.
Born in Kent and having lived in London, Norfolk and Cheshire, Geoff has travelled throughout the UK, from the Isles of Scilly and Cornwall to the north of Scotland. He has made many visits to Northern Ireland and has seen for himself the Outer Hebrides and Shetland.
He is a regular contributor to Britain at War magazine, and has frequently travelled to Jersey in particular amongst the Channel Islands and has considerable knowledge of the island's history, geography, culture, politics and attractions. Geoff's book, How to Survive in Cheshire, was published by Halsgrove in 2010.
LECTURING
Geoff is an experienced lecturer on a range of topics, with the ability to bring his material to life and to adapt to the particular audience.
The prestigious venues at which he has spoken include London's Imperial War Museum, St George's RAF Chapel of Remembrance at Biggin Hill, The Oxford Union, RAF Valley, the Sergeants' mess at the
Royal Artillery barracks, Woolwich and at La Societe Jersiaise in St Helier, Jersey.
Geoff recently appeared on the Find My Past programme on the Yesterday channel, explaining the Battle of Britain to the grandson of a Spitfire pilot.
During 2012 Geoff is due to guide three tours of Battle of Britain sites in south east England.
